A film storyboard reference sheet: ONE image divided into a 2x2 grid of four equal 16:9 photo panels with thin black borders, no text, no numbers. All four panels show the SAME moment in the SAME old Saint Petersburg theatre hall as image 1, during a performance: house lights dimmed, audience in soft darkness, the stage brightly lit. THE MOST IMPORTANT RULE: every spectator, including the man, sits FACING THE STAGE and WATCHES THE STAGE. Nobody sits with his back to the stage. In any panel where the stage is visible, the man and the audience are seen FROM BEHIND (backs of heads and seat backs toward the camera). In any panel where we see the man's face, the camera stands between the stage and the audience, so the stage is behind the camera and not visible, and his face is lit by the stage light from the front. The bearded man from image 2 (exactly that face; dark jacket, grey knitted scarf) sits in the same red velvet seat in every panel: row 7, the fourth seat from the right-hand aisle (right as seen from the back of the hall). His neighbours are the same in every panel: on his left an elderly woman with grey hair in a dark cardigan, on his right a young man in a grey sweater. The grey backpack from image 3 stands upright on his lap, zipper slightly open, only the eyes and the top of the transparent skull of the woman from image 3 visible in the gap. The usher, the elderly lady from image 4 in a dark uniform jacket, stands in the right-hand aisle at the end of his row, also facing the stage. Panel 1 (top left): wide shot from the back of the hall toward the bright stage: we see the backs of the audience; in row 7 the back of the man's head, the top of the backpack over his shoulder line, the grey-haired woman on his left, the young man on his right, and the usher standing in the right-hand aisle, all facing the stage. Panel 2 (top right): medium shot from the front of the hall looking back at the audience (the stage is behind the camera): the man faces the camera direction because he watches the stage, his eyes slightly left of the lens, face warmly lit; the grey-haired woman on the right side of the frame (his left), the young man on the left side of the frame (his right); the dark rows rise behind them. Panel 3 (bottom left): close-up of the man in profile, shot from the right-hand aisle: he looks to the right side of the frame toward the stage, which glows softly out of focus at the right edge; the young man beside him is closest to the camera, softly out of focus in the foreground edge. Panel 4 (bottom right): close-up from the front of the backpack on his lap: the woman's eyes in the zipper gap lit by the stage, his hands holding the backpack, the woman's grey cardigan at the right edge of frame, the grey sweater at the left edge.
